Job Overview

The Central Coast Council is seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Systems Controller. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize knowledge of water and sewer networks, contributing to the operation of the local community's water and sewer system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the operation of the water and sewer system in real-time.
  • Work collaboratively in a dynamic and customer-focused team environment.
  • Monitor system availability, configuration, and performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Proactively control system operations to minimize the impact of system failures and optimize efficiency.
  • Prioritize and triage work orders for the dispatch of work crews, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Provide technical expertise and advice to field staff as required, enhancing overall performance and productivity.
Qualifications:
  • A Certificate IV qualification in Engineering or a related field is desired, along with demonstrated solid contemporary experience in water and/or sewage network management.
  • A current Class C Drivers Licence is also necessary.
  • Experience and understanding of operational management of distributed networks of assets are essential.
  • Knowledge of water, wastewater, and networks is crucial for success in this role.
  • Ability to effectively utilize information technology, including computerized control & monitoring systems (SCADA) and geographical information systems, is vital.
