About the Position
We are seeking a Level B academic with a teaching focused appointment to join our team at La Trobe University. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing curriculum, coordinating subjects, teaching, assessing work, supervising students, and contributing to the administrative functions of the discipline of psychology.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement curriculum for psychology subjects
- Coordinate and teach psychology subjects, including face-to-face, blended, and online modes
- Assess student work and provide feedback
- Supervise students undertaking postgraduate training in psychology, including placement sourcing and support
- Contribute to the administrative functions of the discipline of psychology
Requirements
- PhD or Masters degree or equivalent accreditation and standing recognised by the University/profession as appropriate for the relevant discipline area
- Full registration as a psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated ability to be effective in teaching and curriculum development
- Extensive knowledge of the registration requirements for students undertaking postgraduate psychology placements
- Approval or eligibility for approval as a supervising psychologist at the higher degree program level by the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) would be an advantage
