Operational Risk Consultant

Credit Union Australia is seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Advisor to join our Technology team on a permanent full-time basis.
As a Risk Management Advisor, you will play a critical role in supporting the business to manage risk within our Chief Information Office. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the identification and assessment of risks and controls
- Providing assurance that reasonable steps are being taken to meet accountabilities
- Monitoring data quality and health of divisional data in the GRC system
- Input into project delivery risks and risk transformation priorities
- Supporting divisional requirements for risk transformation activities
You will work closely with stakeholders to advance our understanding of risk, obligation, and control environments. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the risk management function and support the growth and success of Credit Union Australia.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in financial services with a strong understanding of operational risk and compliance
- Demonstrated understanding of risk governance and reporting requirements for a financial institution
- Familiarity with effective risk management frameworks and standards
- Experience in data analysis and data interrogation is highly desirable
- Knowledge of relevant finance industry standards, acts, codes, and legislation (e.g. APRA, Consumer Credit Code, Credit Union Code of Practice, Privacy Act, Trade Practices Act, FSRA)
