We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Specialist to join our team at SA Health.

About the Role:

  • As a Clinical Research Specialist, you will be responsible for contributing to the provision of a high-quality diagnostic pathology service by applying scientific and technical knowledge and expertise.
  • You will perform and evaluate various diagnostic techniques, including problem definition, planning, execution, analysis, and reporting in conjunction with key result areas of responsibility.
  • With consultation, you will contribute to the development, selection, and adoption of new techniques and methodologies.
  • You will assist in training and supervision of medical and technical laboratory staff in routine and complex tests and tasks.
  • As required, you will contribute to the Department's teaching and research activities.
  • In consultation with the Unit head and Directorate Manager, you will contribute to the strategic direction of the discipline.

Essential Requirements:

  • A current National Police Clearance (NPC).
  • A Working With Children Check (DHS).
  • Immunisation screening as indicated in the role description.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The successful candidate must possess one of the following qualifications: a degree at Australian Qualifications Framework level 7 awarded from a university in Australia with > 70% of subjects relevant to the field of pathology of a 3-year degree, a degree at Australian Qualifications Framework level 7 with subjects relevant to the field of pathology awarded by an overseas tertiary institution if the qualification is assessed as equivalent to a degree accredited by the Australian Institute of Medical Scientists, or an associate qualification conferred by the Australian Institute of Medical Technologists before 1 December 1973.

Salary: $104,180 - $116,693 per annum, plus superannuation and salary sacrifice benefits.
