About the Opportunity

This exciting role offers a unique chance to lead clinical research initiatives in child development at the Women's and Children's Health Network. As a Senior Psychologist – Research, you will be responsible for:

  • Establishing foundational research principles and strategies in alignment with the network's research strategy and national governance frameworks.
  • Designing and leading research projects from grant development to dissemination of outcomes, focusing on child mental health and well-being.
  • Conducting organizational capacity assessments to identify opportunities for research growth and development.
  • Providing advanced clinical services to children and adolescents as needed, leveraging expertise in evidence-based modalities.
  • Serving as a clinical and professional leader within the network, overseeing practice standards and service delivery in child mental health.
  • Supervising and guiding psychology staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in clinical research and service delivery.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support service development, client needs, and demand in child mental health.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Psychology or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Psychology Board of Australia, with general registration and endorsement in clinical and/or health psychology.
  • Approved supervisor status with the Psychology Board of Australia, qualified to supervise at all levels (primary and secondary).
  • Demonstrated experience in presenting evaluation, research, and project outcomes to professional, management, or academic audiences.
  • Extensive clinical experience in delivering mental health psychology services to children and adolescents, with advanced clinical experience in evidence-based modalities relevant to child mental health.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, facilitate group functions, and work collaboratively as a team member.
  • High-level analytical skills to devise innovative solutions to complex problems, in consultation with management, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
