**About This Opportunity**

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Technical Officer within our Human and Exercise Physiology laboratory setting. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of practical classes, setting up and maintaining laboratory equipment, and providing guidance to demonstrators and students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the preparation of practical classes, including setting up equipment and ensuring it is in good working order.
  • Providing guidance to demonstrators and students on the use of laboratory equipment.
  • Maintaining laboratory equipment, including performing routine maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensuring that all laboratory activities are conducted safely and in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • A relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong organisational skills, including the ability to be flexible and to organise workflows to meet competing demands.
  • Experience in assembly, repair and maintenance of Human Physiology and Exercise Physiology equipment and instrumentation.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to deal effectively with staff, students and persons with diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • Physical capability to move exercise equipment from room to room as well as to the outside environment.
