About the Role

We are seeking a caring and compassionate Home Care Assistant to join our team at KinCare. As a permanent part-time employee, you will work closely with our customers in Melbourne North, providing essential support and care services to enable them to live independently at home.

Job Description

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing domestic assistance, including cleaning and maintaining a safe and comfortable living environment for our customers;
  • Assisting with meal preparation and shopping to promote healthy eating habits;
  • Offering social support and access to lifestyle activities to enhance our customers' quality of life;
  • Providing respite and emotional support to help our customers manage their daily challenges;
  • Transporting customers to appointments and providing complex care for those with high care needs, such as dementia.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle – travel is an essential part of the role;
  • A genuine desire to assist our aged community and provide person-centered care;
  • The ability to work independently and find solutions to everyday problems;
  • A strong commitment to customer safety and well-being;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
