Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Home Care Worker to join our team on a permanent part-time basis. As a Home Care Worker with KinCare, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of older members of our community, providing them with support and care in the comfort of their own homes.

Responsibilities
  • Providing domestic assistance, including cleaning and maintaining a safe and comfortable living environment for our customers
  • Assisting with meal preparation and shopping, ensuring our customers' nutritional needs are met
  • Offering social support and transport to lifestyle activities, promoting social engagement and independence
  • Delivering personal care, including bathing, dressing, and managing medication, as required
  • Providing respite and emotional support, acknowledging the importance of mental health and wellbeing
  • Transporting customers to appointments and social events, facilitating access to healthcare and community resources
Requirements
  • A minimum of 6 months' experience in a similar role, including personal care skills
  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle, with a strong emphasis on safe driving practices
  • The ability to work independently, prioritizing tasks and solving problems in a fast-paced environment
  • An empathetic approach, demonstrating understanding and patience when working with customers who may be experiencing challenging days
  • Availability to work at least 3 days per week, Monday to Friday, with no night or weekend shifts
