About Our Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced trade qualified Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter / Mobile Plant Mechanic to join our team as a Field Service Technician.

In this role, your primary focus will be to provide exceptional customer outcomes through diagnostics, maintenance and repairs to our Hitachi earthmoving equipment and associated product lines, including major shutdowns and new equipment builds for mining assets. This permanent position will allow you to access OEM training while building a long-term career in a global company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Embody and promote a strong safety culture - safety is the top priority
  • Hold relevant Australian (or Australian recognised) Mobile Plant trade qualifications
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge and understanding of construction and/or mining equipment
  • Show a strong work ethic and ability to work autonomously within remote areas
  • Exhibit excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to build long term relationships
  • Demonstrate great technical knowledge and diagnostic ability, navigating complex technical issues in repair and maintenance services with minimal to zero rework
  • Technical knowledge of Hitachi mining equipment would be highly advantageous
