Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter/Mobile Plant Mechanic Job Opportunity

Due to growth within the Central Queensland region, our team has an exciting opportunity for a trade qualified Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter/Mobile Plant Mechanic to join us as a Field Service Fitter.

  • This is a full-time position in a leading OEM with long-term job security.
  • The role involves providing quality customer outcomes through diagnostics, maintenance and repairs to Hitachi earthmoving equipment and associated product lines.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide quality customer outcomes through diagnostics, maintenance and repairs to Hitachi earthmoving equipment and associated product lines.
  2. Ensure safety takes priority over everything else.
  3. Hold relevant Australian (or Australian recognised) Mobile Plant trade qualifications.
  4. Have experience, knowledge and understanding of construction and/or mining equipment.
  5. Have a strong work ethic and the ability to work autonomously within remote areas.
  6. Have good communication and customer service skills with the ability to build long term relationships.
Requirements:
  • Technical knowledge and diagnostic ability navigating complex technical issues in repair and maintenance services with minimal rework.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of Hitachi mining equipment would be highly advantageous.
