Signal Maintenance Specialist

 

Our organization's success relies on the reliable operation of signalling systems across our network. As a Signal Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless performance of these systems.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Installation: Set up new signalling systems or upgrade existing ones according to specifications and safety standards.
  • Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections, testing, and maintenance procedures to ensure proper functioning of signalling equipment.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and diagnose faults or malfunctions in signalling equipment and implement appropriate repairs or adjustments to restore functionality.
  • Testing and Commissioning: Conduct thorough testing of signalling systems to ensure reliability and adherence to safety regulations before putting them into service.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and testing results to track the history and performance of signalling equipment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other railway personnel to coordinate signalling activities and ensure safe and efficient movement of trains.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

 

  • Certificate IV in Electrical (Rail Signalling)
  • Electrical License
  • White Card
  • Experience as a Signalling Technician
  • RIW Card (Rail Industry Worker Identification)
  • C-class driver's license
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to use initiative
