Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Application Specialist to join our team in Melbourne's South Eastern suburbs. As a key member of our Safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our customers and employees across Victoria and Australia.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Inspecting and testing workplace environments, equipment, and practices to identify potential hazards and implement safety measures.
- Collecting and analyzing samples of potentially toxic materials to ensure a safe working environment.
- Demonstrating the correct use of safety equipment to employees and customers.
- Assisting in the investigation of incidents and accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Undertaking the assembly and testing of products and equipment to ensure they meet safety standards.
- Monitoring and reporting on rental stock levels to ensure adequate supplies are available.
- Arranging the replacement of rental equipment and ensuring adequate levels of consumables are available.
- Sourcing and acquiring 3rd party equipment as required.
- Performing maintenance, repair, and testing of products and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Maintaining accurate service records to track maintenance and repair activities.
- Continuously improving and adding value to processes to enhance safety and efficiency.
- Providing a high level of service to customers to promote Dräger's reputation and values.
About You
We are looking for a highly adaptable and autonomous individual who can work effectively in a team environment. Your skills and experience should include:
- A positive and can-do attitude.
- Experience in a similar role or industry.
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation and diagrams.
- Ability to comprehend technical problems and provide solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer operation and Microsoft applications.
- A current driving license.
