- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive work environment.
- Maintain compliance with food safety legislation and infection control guidelines.
- Manage inventory, equipment maintenance, and operational needs.
- Develop and implement menu planning, catering requests, and meal quality assurance.
- Respond professionally to feedback and complaints.
- Conduct audits and maintain accurate records.
- Certificate of Proficiency in Cooking and Food Safety Supervisor (Health).
- Proven leadership experience in managing performance and workplace change.
- Extensive experience in hospitality or healthcare catering.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and OH&S.
- Understanding of texture-modified diets and dietary restrictions/allergens.
- Able to implement and monitor food preparation processes.
- Post-basic education in management or leadership.
- Experience training staff in food preparation and kitchen operations.
- Previous experience in a hospital or aged care setting.
