Pound Coordinator Role
\Join our team as a Pound Coordinator and be part of shaping the future of animal welfare in our community. In this challenging role, you will oversee the daily operations of the City pound, ensuring the welfare, safety, and rehoming of impounded dogs.
\This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of animals and people alike. You will work closely with staff, volunteers, foster carers, rescue organisations, and other stakeholders to ensure that every dog receives the care and attention it needs.
\We are looking for someone who shares our passion for animal welfare and has experience in animal handling, care, and welfare, ideally within a pound or shelter environment. Your knowledge of dog behaviour and rehoming practices, combined with your strong coordination and organisational skills, will enable you to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
\The ideal candidate will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with staff, volunteers, foster carers, rescue organisations, and the public. They will be able to maintain accurate records and follow operational procedures.
