Emergency Medicine Consultant Position

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Medicine professional to join our dynamic team at a regional hospital in Geraldton, Western Australia.

The Role

An exciting opportunity exists for experienced Emergency Medicine professionals to join a dynamic team of clinicians providing comprehensive Emergency Medicine services to the patients of Geraldton Health Campus.

The Emergency Department is a busy regional department seeing around 40,000 presentations annually with a broad case mix including high acuity and trauma presentations.

The blended medical model includes FACEMs, senior medical practitioners, registrars and residents underpinned by an active culture of teaching and leadership development.

The Hospital

The facility is a 100-bed hospital undergoing redevelopment, including expansion of the emergency department and provision for an Integrated Mental Health Unit and Intensive Care/High Dependency Unit.

It is a referral centre for the entire region with a very busy Emergency Department and Medical Department.

Applicants should be registered as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia and be a Fellow of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEM) or equivalent.

Geraldton is situated in the Midwest Region of Western Australia and is an attractive seaside community 420 kilometers north of Perth.

There are some beautiful sights along the way; pristine beaches, national parks and carpets of wildflowers.
