Job Title: Community Work Supervisor

A key role in our organization is available for a motivated and skilled professional. The Community Work Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing a team of offenders at community work sites and other programs.

This position involves ensuring the safety and well-being of offenders while they complete their tasks. It requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage teams of offenders at community work sites and other locations.
  • Perform site inspections to identify hazards and provide workplace health and safety advice.
  • Maintain accurate records of tools and equipment and ensure necessary repairs are undertaken.
  • Transport offenders to and from community work sites as required.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage conflict and demonstrate problem-solving skills. They should also be able to model appropriate behaviors and attitudes to assist offenders in developing new skills and work practices.

Community Work operates 7 days per week, and this role may require working on weekends. Weekend availability is essential for this position.

Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage conflict and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
  • Carpentry or handyman skills (desirable).
  • Gardening, landscaping, or painting skills (desirable).
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to drive a 12-seater bus with trailer.
