Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive professional to oversee daily operations and ensure the smooth functioning of two iconic outback destinations. The Longreach Tavern and Birdcage Hotel in Longreach, QLD, are vibrant and dynamic multi-outlet venues – the perfect opportunity for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responding to and screening incoming telephone calls with attention to detail and efficiency.
  • Accurate cash handling and banking procedures must be adhered to at all times.
  • Liaising with suppliers and Finance to coordinate timely payment of invoices.
  • Managing and reconciling debtor accounts, ensuring timely payments and maintaining accurate records.
  • Performing data entry with precision and speed while adhering to organisational standards.
  • Overseeing cash float reconciliation and distributing funds to staff as needed, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
  • Ensuring all cash floats are accurate; investigating and reporting discrepancies to prevent financial loss.
  • Coordinating venue monthly compliance audits and following up on arising actions to maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Assisting with the coordination of employee records and documentation, maintaining confidentiality and discretion at all times.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role with a proven track record of success.
  • Experience with cash reconciliations and data entry preferred, with a strong understanding of payroll procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude are essential for this role.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and collaboration.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and office software (e.g., Excel, Microsoft Office Suite) is required.
