Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Health Care Specialist to join our team.

About the Role:

  • This is a unique opportunity to provide professional health services including assessment, counseling, therapeutic intervention, case management, consultation and referral as required.
  • You will be responsible for consulting and liaising with other health professionals and external agencies to ensure ongoing support for patients during their recovery.
  • You will also develop and deliver group therapy programs and therapeutic interventions for clients in Hyson Green and other areas of the hospital.
  • In addition, you will contribute to the work of a multi-disciplinary team in order to meet the goals of Hyson Green.
  • Administrative duties include preparation of reports, maintenance of records, and provision of regular statistical information as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consulting and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Designing and implementing effective group therapy programs to address diverse client needs.
  • Maintaining accurate records and producing high-quality reports to inform service delivery.
  • Cultivating strong relationships with healthcare professionals, external agencies, and community stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work, occupational therapy, or mental health nursing.
  • Professional registration with AHPRA or eligibility to join AASW.
  • Demonstrated clinical experience, including skills in assessment, treatment, therapeutic intervention, group work, case management, and case work.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to build rapport with clients and other healthcare professionals.
