High Voltage Specialist Job Description

As a High Voltage Specialist, your work will have a significant impact on safeguarding our national security. Our team is responsible for delivering high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to various clients.

The primary role of the High Voltage Specialist involves performing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, constructing and installing system components, diagnosing faults in installations, making modifications to devices using standard test equipment, adhering to safety procedures when working with electricity, measuring and controlling electrical parameters, and preparing technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular maintenance checks on equipment to prevent failures and ensure optimal performance.
  • Construct and install new system components and equipment fixtures according to specifications.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in existing installations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Modify devices using standard test equipment to meet specific requirements.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by following established safety procedures when handling electrical systems.
  • Measure and control electrical parameters to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation to support project deliverables.
Requirements:
  • Must be a US or Australian citizen.
  • Must possess a valid US TS/SCI clearance w/ Poly or an Australian PV clearance.
  • Must have at least five years of experience working with medium and high voltages.
  • Must hold Union/Utility MV and HV certifications or their Australian equivalent.
  • Must have knowledge of operating and maintaining switch gears, transformers, isolation breakers.
