Music Program ManagerRole Overview

The Music Program Manager will lead the development of cross-generational music experiences for our festival. They will collaborate with touring and local performers, venues, and grant applicants to design performances that engage families and promote wonder.


Key Responsibilities
  • Design music experiences that appeal to both children and adults
  • Collaborate with touring and local performers, venues, and grant applicants
  • Oversee programming timelines and manage budgets
  • Contribute to the delivery of multi-day festivals or public events

Essential Skills
  • At least 10 years of experience in live music programming or production across multiple genres and age groups
  • Proven track record in designing engaging music experiences for families
  • Strong industry connections with emerging and established artists, agents, and production teams

Desirable Attributes
  • Familiarity with Canberra's music scene and local community/audience behaviors
  • A personal or professional understanding of what musically engages families

Contract Details
  • Project-based contract
  • 100-200 hours of work required
  • Regular meetings throughout the project
  • Presence at the festival from 30 March to 12 April 2026

Remuneration

$21,000 + GST including superannuation
