The Opportunity

As the Head of Enterprise Risk & Compliance, you will work closely with senior executives to implement effective risk, compliance, and financial crime management policies, procedures, and frameworks. You will develop and embed ongoing processes for identifying, managing, and reporting emerging risks and compliance obligations.

Cross-team collaboration is crucial to ensure effective and efficient risk and compliance oversight, as well as identification of ongoing improvements to the Hostplus Risk, AML/CTF, and Compliance Management Frameworks.

Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, you will play a lead role in supporting the Board, CEO, and Group Executive in strategic and business planning activities, assessing risk and compliance. This involves preparing and presenting enterprise risk and compliance reporting on second-line management practices and emerging risks.

About You

You will bring significant industry experience from within the financial services sector in a risk and compliance management role, coupled with strong experience in strategic leadership. Hands-on experience in designing and developing risk and compliance management frameworks and strategies, as well as their embedment, is essential.

As a senior risk and compliance professional, you will possess advanced technical knowledge of the Australian superannuation industry's regulatory environment and emerging practice concepts, including the Corporations Act, SIS Act, and other applicable legislation or demonstrated ability to research and apply new obligations and concepts.

You will hold qualifications in risk, compliance, and leadership with a degree in a relevant discipline. On an interpersonal level, you will possess strong communication skills to convey ideas with conviction and gain stakeholder buy-in.
