Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding role in health information management? We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health Information Manager to join our team.

About the Role

This is a full-time, ongoing position based in Ballarat, supporting the operations of the Grampians Mental Health & Wellbeing Service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and developing a small team, ensuring the validation and reporting of key performance and activity funding data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead data collection, reporting, and related quality and service improvement activities, providing guidance on performance and activity funding requirements.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and mentoring to direct reports to support a cohesive team.
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of and adherence to relevant standards and legislation, actively promoting compliance.
  • Promote key principles and functions of Health Information Management, including privacy, confidentiality, effective record management, accurate and timely data, and analysis and reporting.
  • Develop strong partnerships with internal and external partners.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Health Information Management or equivalent qualification.
  • 7 years + experience in a Health Information management role, preferably at least 5 years in Mental Health.
  • Expert knowledge of CMI/ODS, IBA PAS, BOSSnet/Opal, and the Mental Health & Wellbeing Act.
  • Experience liaising and working with Government and non-government agencies and their representatives.
