Job Title: Medical Administration Team Lead

Job Summary:

This is a rare opportunity to join our women's healthcare practice as a key team leader.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement administrative procedures and protocols to streamline workflows and enhance patient experiences.
  • Lead and manage the administration team, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless operations.
  • Recruit, onboard, and train new team members, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Coordinate rostering, backfill roles, and plan changes to meet business needs.
  • Oversee team activities, resolve issues, and provide coaching and development opportunities to enhance individual and team performance.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3+ years of supervisory experience in General Practice, Allied Health, or Specialist Medical Practice (OBGYN preferred).
  • Proven ability to streamline workflows, develop procedures, and create checklists and forms.
  • Sound understanding of medical protocols, practices, and terminology.
  • Excellent knowledge of patient experience principles, practices, and techniques.
  • Knowledge of Medicare/Private fund billing and claims processes, and item numbers.
  • Sound understanding of the Privacy Act as it relates to medical records.
  • Understanding of employment, WHS, and legislation obligations.
  • Experience with patient booking and rostering.
  • Excellent command of English language and grammar (verbal and written).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications and medical software.
