**Job Title:** Youth Care Coordinator - Leadership Role

**Job Description: Youth Care Coordinator - Leadership Role**

The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding and developing Team Leaders to ensure service quality, risk management, and compliance. This role requires a strong understanding of community services, quality management systems, and the OOHC sector.

**Key Responsibilities:**
  • Relationship Building: Develop caring, collaborative relationships with young people, their families, and community services to achieve suitable permanent care options.
  • Training and Implementation: Commit to and implement the trauma-informed Sanctuary Model of care, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for all.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Care Teams, families, and community services to achieve positive outcomes for young people.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Engage in culturally safe practices for Aboriginal young people and their communities, promoting inclusivity and respect.
  • Advocacy: Ensure the young person's voice is central in all case planning considerations, advocating for their needs and rights.
  • Compliance: Maintain accurate records and adhere to all relevant legislation and standards, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • On-Call Duties: Participate in after-hours on-call duties with remuneration, providing 24/7 support to the team.
**Essential Criteria:**
  • Experience: 5+ years in a quality, risk, or compliance role within an OOHC setting.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of community services, quality management systems, and the OOHC sector.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead, coach, and support a team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Business Acumen: Experience in developing compliance strategies and managing budgets, driving business growth and efficiency.
  • Checks: Current Working with Children Check, Police Check, and a willingness to be on the Residential Care Workers Register.
  • License: Current NSW Driver's License and use of a fully insured car.
