Job Description

We are seeking an individual to join our team as a Community Engagement Officer, responsible for facilitating activities that enhance the sense of connection and wellbeing of our residents.

This is an incredibly rewarding role that involves developing and planning social, recreational and cultural activities, assisting residents on bus trips and community outings, and supporting resident participation and offering warm companionship.

  • Develop and implement engaging onsite activities such as bingo, floor bowls, craft and special events.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and deliver a range of social, recreational and cultural activities.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, ensuring their needs, values and spiritual preferences are taken into account.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Diploma or Certificate IV in Leisure and Health (or willingness to obtain).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work as part of a team and prioritise work.
  • Initiative and creative flair.
  • A big heart - you're empathetic and have a passion for supporting older Australians to live their best life possible.
