Job Title: Operational Technology Security Specialist

We are seeking an experienced security specialist to join our team and support clients' growth across major energy sector projects. As an operational technology (OT) engineer, you will provide cybersecurity support and assurance activities to protect frontline systems from cyber-attacks.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain OT asset security at acceptable levels by implementing robust security measures.
  • Lead contractors and service providers delivering OT-specific work, ensuring they adhere to strict security protocols.
  • Develop and implement the OT Maintenance Program, which includes regular security audits and risk assessments.
  • Ensure all OT system changes are secure, reliable, and fit for purpose by applying security principles throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Support frontline maintenance during OT incidents, providing timely and effective solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with the CSIRT during cyber incidents, leveraging your expertise to mitigate risks and ensure business continuity.
Ideal Candidate:
  • At least 2 years of experience in control system engineering, OT, or IT, with a proven track record of delivering secure solutions.
  • A strong background in maintenance and operations, with experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • An excellent understanding of cybersecurity and risk management principles, particularly in oil & gas environments.
  • Effective stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership qualities, with experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving project success.
  • Relevant certifications, such as CCNA and/or SANS GICSP, would be advantageous but not essential.
  • An engineering or IT degree from a recognized university is required.
