We are seeking an experienced Senior Field Technician to provide mentoring, guidance and leadership to the field services team.
This is a permanent fulltime position based in Townsville, with the requirement to stay in remote exploration camps throughout northern Queensland.
Key Responsibilities- Pro-Active safety approach while adhering to Gold Roads values and vital behaviours.
- Displaying active infield leadership and mentoring.
- Delivering on project priorities by ensuring effective planning and coordination with a forward 1-3 month outlook.
- Active participation in planning meetings ensuring relevant information is communicated to relevant stakeholders.
- Assist the Field Coordinator in planning and managing field staff and resources to project schedules and priorities.
- Assist with camp mobilisation and demobilisation.
- Competently lead soil, AC, RC, and DD sampling.
- Maintain stock control and ordering of field services and drilling consumables.
- Participate in onboarding suppliers.
- Supervision and coordination of all earthworks, ensuring all work is completed and to program requirements.
- Facilitate pre-shift meetings.
- Update and report on ESG and safety compliance.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Experience in managing a people roster.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Positive attitude towards Safety.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Current advanced First Aid and CPR.
- Manual driver's licence.
- National police clearance.
- HR truck licence (desirable).
