About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Senior Field Technician to provide mentoring, guidance, and leadership to our field services team. This is a permanent full-time position based in Townsville, with the requirement to stay in remote exploration camps throughout northern Queensland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively maintain a safe working environment while adhering to Gold Road's values and vital behaviours.
  • Display active infield leadership and mentoring to team members.
  • Deliver on project priorities by ensuring effective planning and coordination with a forward 1-3 month outlook.
  • Participate in planning meetings to ensure relevant information is communicated to stakeholders.
  • Assist the Field Coordinator in planning and managing field staff and resources to project schedules and priorities.
  • Assist with camp mobilisation and demobilisation.
  • Competently lead soil, AC, RC, and DD sampling.
  • Maintain stock control and ordering of field services and drilling consumables.
  • Participate in onboarding suppliers.
  • Supervise and coordinate all earthworks, ensuring all work is completed to program requirements.
  • Facilitate pre-shift meetings.
  • Update and report on ESG and safety compliance.

About You

We're looking for a candidate with:

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in managing a people roster.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • A positive attitude towards safety.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Current advanced First Aid and CPR certification.
  • A manual driver's licence.
  • A National police clearance.
  • An HR truck licence (desirable).
