Culinary Expertise Wanted

We're seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to lead our kitchen team at Club Wyndham Port Douglas.

As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, creating menus that meet financial targets and delight our guests, and providing exceptional food and beverage service in a timely and professional manner.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the highest standards of food safety and hygiene in line with HACCP principles and local regulations.
  • Preparing, producing, and presenting high-quality dishes in accordance with established food hygiene and health & safety standards.
  • Maintaining a passion for increasing food knowledge and skills.
  • Minimizing food waste while striving for excellence.
  • Providing an outstanding guest experience.
  • Contributing ideas on menus, rosters, and other team-related issues.
  • Auditing kitchen stock and ordering supplies as needed.

In return, you'll enjoy a competitive salary of $70,564.00 per annum, plus superannuation, access to professional development funding, and a range of benefits including discounted hotel stays across Australia, Fiji, and New Zealand, as well as subsidised private health cover.

  • Relevant trade qualifications.
  • Previous food and beverage experience in a hotel or resort environment.
