The Queensland Fire and Emergency Services is a leading emergency service agency responsible for ensuring the safety of people and property across Queensland.
Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Auxiliary Firefighter to join our team. As a key member of our firefighting unit, you will be responsible for responding to emergency incidents, promoting community safety, and participating in regular training sessions.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to fire and other emergency incidents as part of a team
- Promote community safety and emergency preparedness through education activities
- Develop and maintain competencies by participating in regular drills and training courses
- Maintain required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training
- Operate specialist firefighting and rescue equipment safely and effectively
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Australian Permanent Resident Status
- A manual C Class driver's licence
- Ability to attend incidents and emergencies (where applicable)
- Live or work within a reasonable distance of an auxiliary fire station
The estimated annual salary for this role is $60,000-$80,000 AUD, depending on experience and qualifications.
