Project Development Lead

The role of Project Manager involves overseeing the end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion of commercial construction projects. This includes managing multiple projects from inception to completion, adhering to high standards of quality.

Key responsibilities include leading project teams comprising Site Managers, Foremen, Contract Administrators, and subcontractors. Effective liaison with clients, consultants, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle is also crucial.

Responsibilities also involve preparing and managing project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports, as well as monitoring construction progress and resolving issues to avoid delays or cost overruns. Additionally, coordinating procurement of subcontractors, suppliers, and materials, ensuring compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental requirements are essential.

Leading by example in terms of safety, quality, and operational standards across all sites, the Project Manager must also manage project documentation, including RFIs, variations, contracts, and progress claims.

Requirements for this role include proven experience as a Project Manager within the commercial construction sector in Australia, demonstrated ability to manage construction projects valued between $2 M–$20 M, and strong understanding of construction contracts (AS2124, AS4000, D&C etc.).

A solid knowledge of project programming tools and construction methodology is necessary, as is excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills. Ability to build strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders, and a results-driven mindset with a strong focus on safety, quality, and commercial outcomes are essential.

Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent are required.
