Youth Therapist Career Opportunity

As a Therapeutic Specialist, you will work closely with young people and the Residential Care team to facilitate reflective practice and build team members' knowledge of therapeutic parenting strategies. You will provide coaching, modeling, and informal therapeutic conversations to foster a therapeutic care environment.
The role involves providing clinical assessment, consultancy, and therapeutic support to the Berry Street Southern Therapeutic Residential Care program. Key responsibilities include conducting assessments and developing therapeutic treatment plans, working closely with clients and care teams to achieve agreed goals, and collaborating with the Teaching Family Model consultant to support staff and implement the model in a tailored approach for each child.
You will also help residential staff to incorporate the model in a therapeutic manner. This requires a high degree of self-discipline, reflected in the ability to provide targeted clinical services within strict timeframes.
In this role, you will demonstrate your ability to provide a high standard of complex direct service in the clinical assessment and treatment of children, young people, and families. You will comply with service delivery towards output and outcomes requirements.
