Job Title: Case Manager

Our organisation's new programme, Pathways to Safety and Support offers a holistic approach in addressing problematic and harmful sexual behaviours (PHSB) in children, young people and their families.

  • Support clients and their families to have needs met in a culturally appropriate manner including ability to engage in culturally appropriate practice, protocols and community engagement.
  • Inform and contribute to development of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural practice within the team.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to develop, implement, and review safety and support plans that address both strengths and areas of risk using or applying a cultural safe lens.
  • Coordinate a culturally safe pathway in wrap-around support by working closely with government departments, schools, health services, and community agencies to raise awareness and deliver integrated services.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, human services, or a related field, or equivalent lived experience.
  • Experience working respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and other diverse groups.
  • Knowledge of issues affecting Aboriginal communities, families, and children.
  • Strong understanding of problematic and harmful sexual behaviours (PHSB) in children and young people, including associated risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting children, young people, and families, particularly in child protection or similar settings.
