Civil Project Engineer

Job Summary:

This is a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.

  • Project Planning and Management: Develop and implement detailed project plans, work schedules, and methodologies for civil works, ensuring alignment with project timelines, budgets, and scope.
  • Techincal Review: Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts; provide engineering input to ensure compliance with industry standards, client expectations.
  • Site Management: Oversee on-site civil construction activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards; manage subcontractor performance and resolve site issues as they arise.
  • HSE Management: Promote and enforce UGL's HSE policies and procedures across all civil project activities; ensure risk assessments and safety measures are effectively implemented.
  • Communication: Liaise with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders to provide regular updates, manage expectations, and address engineering or construction challenges.

Requirements:

A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline is required. Proven experience delivering civil engineering works in infrastructure, utilities, or construction projects is ideal. A strong understanding of civil design principles, construction methodologies, and relevant Australian standards is necessary. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for engaging confidently with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to achieve project outcomes.

This role requires DIDO to the project site at Geraldton.
