About this position

This is a dynamic HR professional role for a fixed term 6-month contract. The ideal candidate thrives on complexity, loves a challenge, and is driven to make things happen.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Navigate complex awards, agreements, and policies to guide decisions that balance business needs with fair process.
  • Provide trusted coaching, insight, and support on performance and misconduct matters, business restructuring, and change initiatives.
  • Ensure the workforce is supported with sound advice and strong HR practices that reflect values and comply with evolving legislation.
Requirements:
  • Australian Citizen with Defence security clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
  • Post-secondary qualification in Human Resources or equivalent demonstrated relevant experience.
  • Experience interpreting legislation, regulations, Awards, and Industrial Agreements together with policy and procedures to provide high-quality and pragmatic HR advice.
  • Excellent communication, consulting, and interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and proven ability in developing trusted business relationships at all levels to gain support and influence outcomes.
