Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Meat Wrapper to join our team at Costco Wholesale Lake Macquarie. As a Meat Wrapper, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality of meat products for our members. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Equipment Maintenance
  • Inspect and reassemble equipment sanitized the previous night, and rework display cases and rotate products.
  • Meat Packaging
  • Take large trays of styro-packaged meat from large wheeled racks and place individual packages into automatic wrapping machines, following safety and security procedures.
  • Labeling and Inventory
  • Set labelers according to product type and price, print, and apply labels to products, and stock wrapped and labeled meat on large trays of large wheeled carts.
  • Meat Preparation
  • Operate meat grinders, dump meat into the top of the machine, and check fat content of each batch from the grinder, following proper department production procedures and standards for quality and consistency of finished products.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation
  • Clean and sanitize areas throughout the day, perform duties to comply with health codes, such as sanitation standards and maintaining proper temperatures.
  • Maintenance and Repair
  • Perform routine maintenance for machinery, equipment, and implements.
  • Member Service
  • Provide and ensure prompt and courteous member service.
