Meat Wrapper/Cleaner Job Description

Costco Wholesale is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Meat Wrapper/Cleaner to join our team at our Lake Macquarie warehouse. As a key member of our meat department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of meat products for our members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meat Preparation: Inspect and reassemble equipment, sanitize previous night's work, and rework display cases and rotate product.
  • Meat Wrapping: Take large trays of styro packaged meat from large wheeled racks and place individual packages into automatic wrapping machines, following safety and security procedures.
  • Labeling and Stocking: Set labelers according to product type and price, print and apply labels to product, and put wrapped and labeled meat on large trays of large wheeled carts and stock in display cases.
  • Maintenance and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize areas throughout the day, perform routine maintenance for machinery and equipment, and ensure compliance with health code standards.
  • Member Service: Provide prompt and courteous member service, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
