Health and Safety Leadership Role

This position will take charge of all Health and Safety activities across the program of works.

You will be embedded both internally and client-side, ensuring client KPI's are consistently monitored and reported to management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic advice and support to the Project Management Team regarding health and safety protocols and procedures.
  • Conduct audits and reviews of projects to ensure compliance with contractual delivery requirements.
  • Review contractor health and safety management plans and associated documentation for adherence to contractual specifications.
  • Maintain close liaison with contractor organisations and the client Health and Safety Manager to implement change management and new initiatives across the program of works.
  • Coordinate reviews, changes, and upgrades to the client-specific Delivery Safety Management System for final approval and implementation.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in senior positions in health and safety management.
  • Formal qualifications in occupational health and safety management.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction, mining, or rail health and safety fields.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant state and territory legislation, codes of practice, and industry standards related to health and safety.
  • Injury management training.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Certificate IV in workplace assessment and training.
