About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our Canberra site, overseeing all functions and ensuring the delivery of our branch strategy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a team of 25+ employees, planning for and reacting to change, and driving ongoing improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all functions across the Canberra site, including operations, customer service, and safety
  • Plan for and react to change, ensuring the site remains competitive and compliant
  • Lead and develop the team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Deliver the overall branch strategy, aligning with company goals and objectives
  • Drive ongoing improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for growth and efficiency
  • Ensure a high-level safety and customer service culture, meeting or exceeding company standards
  • Support and motivate the sales team to achieve growth targets
  • Ensure compliance with all policies, legal, and regulatory requirements

About You

  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of leadership and management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines
  • Transport/Logistics/Mobile Service industry experience, with a focus on fleet management and team leadership
  • Continuous improvement focused, with a passion for innovation and excellence
  • Well-developed people and time management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Ability to learn new internal programs and technology, with a willingness to adapt and evolve
