Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Cook to join our team at Guzman y Gomez Mexican Kitchen. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety, while also supporting the recruitment, training, and development of our kitchen crew.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all kitchen quality standards are met and maintained
  • Support the recruitment, training, and development of kitchen crew members
  • Collaborate with the restaurant manager to achieve P&L results, including COGS, labor, and operating expenses
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and WH&S policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Experience in a kitchen or cooking role within a busy hospitality environment
  • Experience leading and developing a team
  • Certificate in commercial cookery or equivalent experience
  • Good understanding of food safety concerns
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
