Job Overview
The Post Placement Support role in our Disability Employment program in Wallsend, NSW, supports people with disability to navigate the world of employment. As an Employment Development Consultant, you will work closely with other team members to empower individuals to achieve their goals.
Your Responsibilities
- Engage and develop relationships with people to support and empower their employment journey.
- Work with employers to identify and overcome barriers or challenges, leading to positive outcomes.
- Regular check-ins and updates, providing positive encouragement and guidance.
You will also be required to complete administration tasks to document a person's progress in line with program funding and reports.
About You
This opportunity suits someone with previous experience in a similar role or those who have experience supporting people with a disability and are looking for a career transition into a Monday-Friday, office-based support role.
You must have solid foundations in computers, software, and navigating office-based work, including completing administrative tasks and organising your time effectively.
A successful candidate will be able to build rapport with others, adapt their communication style to build relationships, and navigate challenges. Most importantly, you should be genuinely passionate about community connection and finding fulfillment in seeing others achieve their goals.
Your experience might include delivering complex or challenging essential services or other direct support work; lived/living personal or family experience of disability, or from an administration, recruitment, or human services background looking for work in the disability sector.
The estimated salary range for this role is between $62,000-$69,000 + 11.5% Super + $18,550 salary packaging benefits (which boosts your take-home pay) + Royal Rewards outlined below.
