Job Title: Maintenance Specialist

Our Distribution Systems Customer Services team in Western Australia seeks a skilled professional to fill the role of Substation Technician.

The selected candidate will be responsible for performing day-to-day field service on Transformers, Low Voltage Switchgear and Busway systems for clients across Australia.

This includes installation, commissioning and maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with customer satisfaction, quality and safety standards while demonstrating leadership.

The Substation Technician will effectively meet the customer's needs for preventative and corrective maintenance, installation, commissioning, updates/upgrades/performance optimisation, corrective service, installations and/or workshop repairs in accordance with contractual obligations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing timely completion of service reports;
  • Complying with all OH&S policies and service escalation procedures;
  • Maintaining personal knowledge of safety instructions and operational procedures;

As a site-based advocate, you will serve as the client's trusted advisor on technical matters.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working with LV Distribution systems;
  • An unrestricted Electrical Licence (A grade or equivalent);
  • A Driver's Licence;
  • Ability to travel for site works;

Desirable qualifications include:

  • Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience;
  • Experience with protection relays testing;
  • Previous experience working with Low Voltage switchboards & circuit breakers such as assembly, installation & testing;
