Job Overview

The Principal Economist will play a pivotal role in leading research and analysis activities within the team and broader office, driving results through strategic direction and collaboration with colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the development of complex reports, submissions, briefing notes, commentary, publications, and correspondence that effectively communicate key findings and recommendations.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Queensland public sector agencies to foster policy collaborations and influence agendas.
  • Manage partnerships with stakeholders on high-priority issues, ensuring effective communication and resolution of challenges.
  • Represent the Demand Modelling & Analysis team on interdepartmental working groups, providing expert insights and facilitating decision-making processes.
