About the Role:

This position plays a critical role in shaping Victoria's health system to meet the needs of all Victorians.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies for preventing and controlling foodborne and enteric diseases across the public health network.
  • Lead surveillance, assurance activities, and policy development efforts.
  • Collaborate with local public health units and key stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
  • Support epidemiology, surveillance, and intelligence services at the state level.
  • Identify vulnerabilities and risks related to communicable disease prevention and control activities.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience and expertise in public health leadership, strategy development, and delivery.
  • Strong finance and resource management skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
