About the Role:This position plays a critical role in shaping Victoria's health system to meet the needs of all Victorians.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement strategies for preventing and controlling foodborne and enteric diseases across the public health network.
- Lead surveillance, assurance activities, and policy development efforts.
- Collaborate with local public health units and key stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
- Support epidemiology, surveillance, and intelligence services at the state level.
- Identify vulnerabilities and risks related to communicable disease prevention and control activities.
- Proven experience and expertise in public health leadership, strategy development, and delivery.
- Strong finance and resource management skills.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Meaningful work contributing to public health outcomes.
- Ongoing growth and development opportunities within the department and Victorian Public Service.
