Job Title: Support Worker

About the Role
At Uniting, we're looking for compassionate and caring individuals to join our team as Support Workers. As a Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in providing care and companionship to older people living in their own homes, helping them maintain their independence and improve their quality of life in the Canberra region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing personal care and assistance with daily living tasks, such as personal hygiene, toileting, showering, and dressing
  • Assisting with household tasks, such as housekeeping, grocery shopping, and meal preparation
  • Transporting clients to appointments and social events, using your own car
  • Supporting clients with their social and wellbeing needs, including accompanying them on outings and participating in Healthy Living for Seniors activities

Requirements
  • Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent qualification
  • Experience providing client-centred care, with a focus on supporting older people
  • Current First Aid certificate and a valid driver's licence
  • Access to a comprehensively insured vehicle
