About the Role


We are currently seeking skilled Home Care Workers to join our professional and supportive Aged Care Services Team in casual roles across the ACT region. As a Home Care Worker, you will provide general support and personal care to clients in their homes, promoting independence and dignity.


Job Description


Your key responsibilities will include:



  • Providing domestic assistance with tasks such as meal preparation, shopping, and general cleaning
  • Assisting with home maintenance, including light gardening and lawn mowing
  • Offering social support in various settings, including within the home or in the community
  • Transporting clients to access community services
  • Providing personal care, including showering, dressing, and other activities of daily living
  • Communicating with our team to ensure client support plans reflect changing needs
  • Representing our organisation with clients, families, and stakeholders
  • Maintaining client dignity, privacy, and autonomy at all times

Required Skills and Qualifications


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • A Certificate 3 in Community Services, Individual Support (or approved equivalent) and/or relevant work experience
  • A Working With Vulnerable People Card
  • A Working With Children Check
  • A National Police Check
  • A Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • A Full Drivers Licence and own vehicle
  • A COVID-19 Vaccination History Certificate
