Central Australian Aboriginal Congress offers a unique opportunity to support the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) in its efforts to deliver culturally secure services to Aboriginal community members. As an NDIS Aboriginal Community Connector, you will play a critical role in fostering meaningful relationships with clients and their families, particularly those from Aboriginal backgrounds.

The ideal candidate will possess strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to use a computer for data entry and case note recording. You will also have a current Northern Territory or Australian Driver's Licence, which is essential for travel to remote sites.

We are seeking a professional who can work within a culturally secure framework to ensure that our services are tailored to meet the needs of Aboriginal community members. Job Description:

About the Role

As an NDIS Aboriginal Community Connector, your primary responsibility will be to cultivate and grow professional relationships with clients and their families, particularly those from Aboriginal backgrounds. You will work closely with the NDIA to ensure that our services are delivered in a culturally secure manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster meaningful relationships with clients and their families, particularly those from Aboriginal backgrounds
  • Work closely with the NDIA to deliver culturally secure services
  • Travel to remote sites as required
  • Use a computer for data entry and case note recording
  • Hold a current Northern Territory or Australian Driver's Licence
