About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team on a 6-month contract. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting the TMB Enterprise Data Warehouse and Analytics Solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Warehouse and Analytics Solutions: Design, implement, and support data warehouse and analytics solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Collaboration with Business Analysts: Collaborate with business analysts to develop technical specifications and participate in all phases of data development and analytics projects.
  • Data Development and Analytics Projects: Participate in all phases of data development and analytics projects, including requirements gathering, solution design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Optimizing BI Solutions: Recommend improvements for optimal BI solutions and establish and evaluate data integration patterns for incorporating new data sources into the enterprise data warehouse.
  • Training and Knowledge Transfer: Conduct training and knowledge transfer sessions for junior developers.
About You

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Tertiary Qualification: Tertiary qualification in computer science or information technology (highly regarded).
  • BI/DW Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in BI/DW development.
  • Certification: Certification in SQL Server and DataStage (desirable).
  • ETL Development: Minimum 5+ years in ETL development using SSIS or DataStage.
  • Large Enterprise Data Warehouses: Minimum 3+ years of experience in developing and supporting large enterprise data warehouses.
  • Relational and Dimensional Data Modelling: Experience with relational and dimensional data modelling and analysis.
  • QlikView: Experience with QlikView (highly regarded).
  • Background in Banking/Financial Services: Background in banking/financial services (highly desirable).

Benefits and Remuneration:

As a Data Engineer at Teachers Mutual Bank, you can expect a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
