Culture Amp is a leading company in Australia, where you'll join a rapidly growing team of talented data professionals. As a Data Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in building reporting and analytics capabilities, leveraging data engineering, ML engineering, and data science.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Pipeline Development: Design and build scalable data pipelines for analytics products using cloud-based technologies like Redshift.
- Pipeline Testing and Optimization: Ensure pipelines are thoroughly tested, performant, and observable, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Schema and Query Optimization: Monitor end-user performance and optimize schemas and queries to meet business requirements.
- Technical Guidance and Support: Promote data best practices and support colleagues in developing their knowledge and skills.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with stakeholders to manage data responsibly and align with organizational objectives.
Requirements:
- Cloud Data Warehousing Experience: Proven experience with cloud data warehouses like Redshift, with a strong understanding of data modeling and querying.
- Programming Skills: Excellent skills in modeling and querying data in SQL and Python, with the ability to write efficient and optimized code.
- ETL/ELT Tooling: Experience with ETL/ELT tooling, including DBT and Airflow, with a focus on data integration and transformation.
- Desirable Skills:
- CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code: Familiarity with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code concepts, particularly in AWS cloud.
- AWS Data Tools: Knowledge of AWS data tools, including Athena, Glue, SageMaker, and EMR.
