Job Description

This is a full-time leadership position responsible for leading a housekeeping team to promote high standards of cleanliness and customer service at our resort, catering to up to 1200 guests with various accommodation options.

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing a team of 15-25 employees to ensure effective systems and operational procedures, planning daily room requirements and conducting pre-arrival checks, driving guest satisfaction across the resort to exceed expectations, working closely with the Resort Management team and other Heads of Departments, managing costs within budgetary requirements, ensuring adequate supplies of housekeeping inventory and chemicals, proactively managing guest feedback for continuous improvement on customer service, recruiting, training, and developing seasonal team members to ensure service standards are met, and ensuring health and safety compliance.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • At least 1 year's experience in a similar role with proven ability to manage large teams and drive results.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with outstanding customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong understanding of hotel operations, including knowledge of occupancy management, inventory control, and cost management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • A driver's license is essential, with a willingness to assist with emergency after-hours call-outs when required.
